The Central Government had notified that the industry engaged in the services in any oilfield (item 17 of the First Schedule to the ID Act), to be a Public Utility Service (PUS) for the purposes of the said Act with effect from 12 October 2020 (Ministry of Labour and Employment, number S.O. 3549(E), dated the 12th October, 2020).
The Government has further declared that the said industry continue to be a PUS for next six months with effect from 07 July 2021.🏷️ Industrial Disputes Act
The Central Government had notified the services engaged in the Iron and Steel Industry (item 7 of the First Schedule of the ID Act) to be a Public Utility Service (PUS) for a period of six months effective from 18 January 2021 (Ministry of Labour and Employment number S.O. 226 (E), dated 18th January, 2021).

The Government of Madhya Pradesh has directed all jurisdictional officers to run a special campaign from 01 July to 31 July 2021 for the registration of major employers and license to the contractor under the Inter-State Migrant Workmen (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 1979. Also, it has directed them to make all the employers or institutions and labour organizations aware of instructions as mentioned in the circular.🏷️ Inter-State Migrant Workers Act
The Aatmanirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana (ABRY) scheme launched on 01 October 2020 has been extended till 31 March 2022. The Government has launched the ABRY scheme last year to incentivise employers for creating new employment and restoration of employment loss through EPFO.🏷️ PF Act
EPFO has requested all employers to submit/forward the list of employees of their organisation who have lost their lives due to the COVID -19 pandemic disease in prescribed format to provide the applicable social security benefits to the surviving dependants.🏷️ PF Act
