During the COVID 19 pandemic, the Karnataka Government has issued periodic guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as per the national directives for COVID management, and instructions to the units and establishments that are permitted either fully or partially to operate.
These permitted units, establishments, factories, and boilers should strictly adhere to the SOPs, Instructions and Guidelines that are issued from time to time in order to control and prevent the spread of COVID infection.
The units and establishments that employ one thousand (1000) or more workers should conduct random COVID 19 test to 10% of their workmen twice a week.
The Inspectors of Department of Factories and Boilers are advised to make surprise visit to these units /establishments and report the compliance as per the format attached along with the notification.
Further the Labour Commissioner, has instructed all the labour / inspecting officers to report the cases of units /establishments if any operating against the guidelines and or without permission as per the circulars issued by the Government from time to time.
The Government will take appropriate action against the units, establishments that violate any of these Guidelines, SOPs and Instructions.
