Form III - Register of Wages

Employer shall maintain a Wage Register in Form III as per Rule 5 of the Karnataka Payment of Wages Rules, 1963. Employer can use Form 22 to maintain the required information, which in turn enables employer to comply with a few other statutory registers related to Factories Rules, Minimum Wages Rules, and Contract Labour Rules. 

This shall cover establishment, employer, and contract particulars. Also, this month wise register records employee particulars, attendance information, payable days, rate of wage/salary, and deductions.

Maintenance of this register covers some more compliance requirements as follows:

  • Form 22 (Muster Roll-cum-Register Wages Salary/Subsistence Allowance) Rule 137 of the Karnataka Factories Rules, 1969
  • Form V Rule 29(1) of the Karnataka Minimum Wages Rules, 1958
  • Form VII Rule 29(5) of the Karnataka Minimum Wages Rules, 1958
  • Form XVI  Rule 78(1)(a)(i) of the Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) (Karnataka) Rules, 1974
  • Form XVII Rules 78(1)(a)(i) of the Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) (Karnataka) Rules, 1974
