Karnataka Cost of Living Allowance (April 2024 to March 2025)

The Government of Karnataka has published the State Annual Average Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers for the year 2023.

The Average Annual C.P.I. published is 9469 [1960=100] points for the year 2023 that is with an increase of 568 points over and above the C.P.I of 2022 (8901 points). The Employers in the Scheduled Employment are required to pay additional Cost of Living Allowance on 568 points commencing from 01 April 2024 to 31 March 2025 underthe Minimum Wages Notifications.

The additional amount of Cost-of-Living Allowance (also known as Dearness Allowance -DA) payable for the period 01 April 2024 to 31 March 2025 for different scheduled employments:

Rate of Cost-of-Living Allowance: 4 Paise per point Additional amount of CLA payable from 01 April 2024 to 31 March 2025 over and above the existing amount : Rs. 26.22 per day (Rs. 681.60 per month) The daily rate of cost-of-Living Allowance is calculated by dividing the monthly rate by 26 and rounded off to the nearest paise.
