Income-tax Amendment (Twenty-Ninth Amendment) Rules, 2023

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has notified Income-tax Amendment (Twenty-Ninth Amendment) Rules, 2023.

The Amendment contains the below listed changes:

  1. Clause (f) in rule 10TA (Definitions) in respect of intra-group loan has been substituted,
  2. in rule 10TD (Safe Harbour), in sub-rule (2A), in the table:
  • Sl.No. 4, in column number (3), word “CRISIL” shall be omitted in clauses (i) to (iv)
  • substitution of entries relating Advancing of intra-group loans referred to in clause (iv) of rule 10TC where the amount of loan is denominated in foreign currency, for Sl.No. 5
  1. insertion of explanation, pertaining to reference rate and credit rating, after after sub-rule (2A)

The Amendment will be effective from 01 April 2024.
