ESIC had approved the enhancement in the rate of PDB/DB w.e.f. 01.08.2022 in the cases where the employment injury resulting in disablement or death occurred on or before 31.12.2021 and necessary instructions have been issued for payment of arrears to the beneficiaries immediately after the updation of rates in ERP by ICT Branch (HQ).
While implementing the PDB/DB rates in ERP by ICT Branch (HQ), it has been observed in some cases that the pre-revised PDB/DB rates applicable from 01.08.2018 has not been updated in the system so far by the concerned Branch Offices resulting in non-payment of arrears to the beneficiaries of the last enhancement effective from 01.08.2018 whereas they are still being paid benefits at older rates and mismatch of current PDB/DB rates.
Therefore, it is advised that all field offices ensure the PDB/DB rates applicable from 01.08.2018 have been updated in the system in respect of all PDB/DB beneficiaries.
ESIC further requested to furnish a certificate in this regard mentioning that “The benefit rates applicable from 01.08.2018 in respect of all eligible PDB/DB beneficiaries have been updated in the system and no case is left out for updation”.
If no certificate is received from any field office within stipulated time, it would be presumed that rates have been updated in respect of all PDB/DB beneficiaries and no further request in this regard shall be considered in future and responsibility shall be fixed for any lapses/laxity.
A certificate may be submitted to ESIC by 12.02.2024 at 05:00 PM through e-mail on benefit-hq@esic.nic.in.
