ESIC launches annual preventive health check for ESI insured persons and women aged 40 years and above, relaxes the COVID Relief Scheme contribution conditions and setup more hospitals.The following important Agenda Items were taken up in the meeting of ESI
Corporation, which will improve ESIC’s service delivery mechanism and also strengthen
the medical infrastructure, to benefit the Insured Workers :-
- Launch of Pilot Project on Annual Preventive Health Check-up Programme for ESI Insured Persons / Insured Women (IPs/IWs) aged 40 years and above.
- Relaxation of the contributory condition in the ESIC COVID-19 Relief Scheme:
In order to provide help and succor to the families of the IPs who died due to COVID19, ESIC COVID-19 Relief Scheme was introduced. Corporation approved relaxation of the contributory condition of payment from 70 days to 35 days for eligibility under this Scheme.
- Construction of 500 bedded ESIC Hospital at Gurugram (Manesar) for expansion of services of existing 100 bedded Hospital.
- Setting up of 100 bedded ESIC Hospital at Meerut.
- Acquisition of land for construction of 100 bedded ESI Hospital at Duburi, Odisha.
- Taking over of State run ESIS Hospital, Tinsukia, Assam.
- Acquisition of Land for proposed 30 bedded ESIS Hospital at Atchutapuram, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
- Setting up of a Sub-Regional Office (SRO) of ESIC at Jharsuguda in Odisha.
- High Powered Committees announced for improving service delivery mechanism of ESIC
