ESI provisions extend to certain areas in Tamil Nadu
With effect from 01 October 2022, certain provisions of the ESI Act will be applicable to all the areas of Krishnagiri and Tiruchirappalli districts, in addition to the
already notified areas in the districts, and in all the areas of Perambalur district, in the State of Tamil Nadu.
ESI provisions namely,—
sections 38 to 43 and sections 45A to 45H of Chapter IV;
sections 46 to 73 of Chapter V; and
sections 74, 75, sub-sections (2) to (4) of section 76, 80, 82 and 83 of Chapter VI
will be applicable to the above-mentioned areas in Tamil Nadu.
