Greytip Software Showcased at NASSCOM Product Conclave

Greytip Software was one of the 12 product companies (and the only one in HR/Payroll category) chosen to be showcased at the NASSCOM Product Conclave 2009 held in Bangalore on 27/28 October, 2009. The sell-out conclave had speakers like Guy Kawasaki, Kiran Karnik, Naeem Zafar, Orna Berry, Rajesh Hukku apart from the who's who of IT industry in attendance.

The rationale for the product showcase was explained by NASSCOM:

The CIO community is hard pressed for IT budgets and the squeeze can at times be nerve racking when it comes to vendor performance. Sessions such as these would aim to address the problem of choice under a new light, by introducing some new solutions which has the potential to address an enterprise wide requirement, yet being financially viable.

We partnered with partnered with CIO Association of India for this initiative. It has indeed been a tough job for the selection committee members and NASSCOM for selecting the 12 companies for the NASSCOM EMERGE Product Showcase. The bigger challenge of course was selecting the parameters on which the applicants would be judged, to enable a fair and objective verdict. Some of the parameters looked by the jury when they ranked the companies are:

1. Focus - Enterprise Software Products
2. Client-Base Products should have a reasonable client-base (at least 10)
3. Applicability: Should have wide applicability of the product
4. Market: Market Focus – Domestic market

Greytip made it to the top 12 and so, we got to present our company to 15 top CIOs of India and got valuable advice in return. It was an enriching and enjoyable experience overall.
