Owing to the nationwide lock-down due to COVID-19, the Ministry of Labor and Employment, came in rescue to ease the burden of employers and support employees by bringing up several flexibility in the EPFO, ESIC, Minimum Wages compliance mechanism and also extended the validity of Licenses under the Contract Labor Act and Inter-State Migrant Workmen Act.

The validity of licenses granted under the Contract Labour (R&A) Act, 1970 and Inter-State Migrant Workmen (ISMW) Act-1979 have been extended up to 30.06.2020 for those licenses whose renewal falls in the months of March, April, May, & June 2020.
