Na. Vijayashankar, popularly known as Naavi, is a pioneering figure in the field of Cyber Law and Data Protection in India. As one of the country’s foremost experts and consultants in data protection, he has played a significant role in shaping the discourse around cyber jurisprudence and digital privacy. Naavi is the founder of www.naavi.org, India’s premier Cyber Law portal, and currently serves as the Chairman of the Foundation of Data Protection Professionals in India (FDPPI). Through FDPPI, he has contributed to capacity building and the professional development of data protection officers across the country. In recognition of his contributions, Naavi has received multiple honors, including the Dena Bank Award of Excellence in Public Life (2007), the Lifetime Achievement Award for Cyber Jurisprudence (2022), and the Lifetime Achievement Award for Privacy (2023), among other industry accolades.
