Creche Facilities in Factories in Karnataka

Director of Factories, Government of Karnataka has issued Circular advising all the Managements of the factories to restart providing creche facilities at factories in accordance with the Factories Act and the Rules thereunder.

As per this Circular: The instructions contained therein be followed by the Establishments registered under the Karnataka Shops and Commercial Establishments Act which are required to provide creche facility under Section 11-A of the Maternity Benefit Act.

The employers are advised to ensure that statutory provision with regard to providing creche facility be complied with. However, the standard operating procedure for prevention of spread of Covid.19 shall continue to be followed.
