Minimum wages increased for construction workers in Karnataka

The Government of Karnataka has increased minimum wages of workers employed in construction and maintenance of roads and buildings under the Karnataka minimum wages act Rules. This substantial increase in their minimum wages has been in effect from 6 January 2017.
