Under the Karnataka Shops and Commercial Establishment Act, Form U (annual returns) is a much awaited feature. It’s a mandatory filing requirement for any establishment and includes establishment details and employment particulars, such as:

- Leave with wage particulars
- Welfare measures
- Maternity benefits provided
