The Governor of Haryana, has declared Sunday, June 29, 2025, as a paid holiday for workers in all Shops and Commercial Establishments who are registered voters in the jurisdiction of Kalanwali, District Sirsa, to enable them to exercise their voting rights in the municipal elections.

Paid leave for Gram Panchayat Elections in Gujarat

The Labour Inspector, Gandhinagar, Government of Gujarat, has issued directives under the Gujarat Shops and Establishments (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 2019, granting paid leave to employees working in Kadi, Jotana, Visavadar, Bhensan, Junagadh (Rural), and Bagasra Talukas to enable them to exercise their voting rights in the Gram Panchayat elections scheduled for June 22, 2025.

Revised Working Hours for Adult Factory Workers in Andaman Nicobar Islands

The Labour Commissioner, Andaman and Nicobar Administration has issued an order revising the daily working hours for adult workers in any factory under the Factories Act, 1948 to a maximum of 10 hours per day. This directive, aligned with the Ease of Doing Business initiatives to boost productivity and efficiency, comes into immediate effect and shall remain in force until further notice.
